What is Gazal Geeta (गजल गीता)?
Gazal Geeta (also written as Gajal Geeta or Gazal Gita) is the divine wisdom of Lord Krishna from the Bhagwat Geeta — specifically the teachings of Bhakti Yoga (Chapter 12) — composed in the beautiful poetic form of a Gazal. It is a 40-verse dialogue between Arjuna and Lord Krishna, rendered in simple Hindi doha-chaupai style so that anyone can understand, sing and remember the core message of the Gita.

प्रथमहिं गुरुको शीश नवाऊँ | हरिचरणों में ध्यान लगाऊँ ||१||
गजल सुनाऊँ अद्भुत यार | धारण से हो बेड़ा पार ||२||
अर्जुन कहै सुनो भगवाना | अपने रूप बताये नाना ||३||
उनका मैं कछु भेद न जाना | किरपा कर फिर कहो सुजाना ||४||
जो कोई तुमको नित ध्यावे | भक्तिभाव से चित्त लगावे ||५||
रात दिवस तुमरे गुण गावे | तुमसे दूजा मन नहीं भावे ||६||

मन इन्द्रिय अपने वश राखे | विषयन के सुख कबहुँ न चाखे ||२४||

फल दोनों का एक समान | किन्तु कठिन है निर्गुण ध्यान ||२७||
जबतक है मन में अभिमान | तबतक होना मुश्किल ज्ञान ||२८||
जिनका है निर्गुण में प्रेम | उनका दुर्घट साधन नेम ||२९||
मन टिकने को नहीं अधार | इससे साधन कठिन अपार ||३०||
सगुन ब्रह्म का सुगम उपाय | सो मैं तुझको दिया बताय ||३१||
यज्ञ दानादि कर्म अपारा | मेरे अर्पण कर कर सारा ||३२||
अटल लगावे मेरा ध्यान | समझे मुझको प्राण समान ||३३||
सब दुनिया से तोड़े प्रीत | मुझको समझे अपना मीत ||३४||

Gazal Geeta — Meaning in English
The Gazal Geeta opens with the poet bowing to the Guru and fixing the mind on Lord Hari's feet. Then Arjuna asks Krishna: among those who worship You with form (Saguna) and those who meditate on the formless (Nirguna) — which is superior?
Lord Krishna answers: The one who chants My name day and night, whose eyes fill with tears of love at hearing My name, who wants nothing except Me, who forgets all shame and ego in My devotion — that devotee is the highest of all yogis.
Krishna acknowledges that the Nirguna path is real but difficult — the mind has no anchor in the formless. So He prescribes the easier, sweeter path: "Offer all your actions to Me, fix your mind on Me as your very breath, cut attachment to the world, consider Me your only friend. I will become your boatman and carry you across the ocean of this world."
The Gazal Geeta concludes with the assurance: Whoever walks this path will surely cross the ocean of worldly existence. This is the promise of Lord Krishna.
