Gayatri Mantra - Sacred Mantras

The Gayatri Mantra (ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्) is the most sacred mantra in Hinduism, found in the Rigveda (3.62.10). Composed by sage Vishwamitra, it is addressed to Savitr — the divine solar consciousness. Chanting the Gayatri Mantra illuminates the intellect, purifies the mind, and connects the practitioner to the highest divine light. Transliteration: Om Bhur Bhuvah Swah | Tat Savitur Varenyam | Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi | Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat ||

Meaning: We meditate on the divine radiance of Savitr (the all-pervading divine solar consciousness) who illuminates the three realms — earth, atmosphere, and heaven. May that divine light inspire, purify, and guide our intellect.
